Akkineni Nagarjuna is an Indian film actor, television presenter and producer who was born on 29 August 1959 in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. He is mainly famous for his work in the Telugu Cinema and Television. He widely famous with his short name Nagarjuna or Nagarjun in north India. He has acted in over 90 films as an actor in a lead, cameo and supporting roles including Tamil and Bollywood films. He has received many awards including two National Awards, three Filmfare Awards South and nine State Nandi Awards. He began his acting on 1967 as a child artist and starred in a lead role with the Telugu movie Vikram in 1986 which was directed by V. Madhusudhana Rao. It is the remake of 1983 Hindi movie Hero. The movie was a success giving Nagarjuna a good start.
